ESD flooring for data centers and network rooms
Equipment positions, network operations floors and 911 dispatch centers carry an ESD requirement that comes from the equipment, not from a manufacturing process.

What is different about these rooms
01
Live power changes the calculation
Rooms with energized equipment often specify a higher floor resistance band for personnel safety. FAA-STD-019 does exactly this, at 1.0 x 10^6 to 1.0 x 10^9 ohms.
02
Raised floor or slab
A resinous system goes on the slab. Where there is an access floor above it, the ESD path and the access floor's own grounding both have to be understood together.
03
Uptime decides the sequence
These rooms rarely stop. The phasing conversation matters more here than the coating conversation, and it is where most of the cost sits.
